MEMORY CARD

Kenneth's Sales & Service, Inc.

32 Megabyte ATA Flash memory cards are available from Ag Leader Technology for use with the PF3000 and  PF3000 Pro. The 32 megabyte card offers a wealth of storage in the form of a compact, reliable device about the size of a credit card. They can be filled with data, archived, erased, and reused.   This device is an industry standard, used in digital cameras, hand-helds, and laptops.

Why do I need memory card?   GPS information requires a large amount of space for storage until it is convenient to download to a personal computer. Some of the data being logged to the card in the PF3000 console includes: latitude, longitude, elevation, instantaneous yield and moisture, distance traveled in that interval, field name and load name. As you can see, if you log every second of this data, it can add up quickly! The PF3000 & Pro have memory space for harvest or variable rate summaries, but the ATA-Flash card provides the necessary storage space for recording instantaneous data.

The PF3000 or Pro allows you to log on a 1,2 or 3 second logging interval in harvest mode. The table shows how many logging hours are available at each logging interval. Ag Leader offers ATA cards only in 32 megabyte size.  Other sizes may be obtained from other sources. Ag Leader recommends only SANDISK (TM) compatible ATA cards.

Logging Interval > 1 second 2 seconds 3 seconds
32 megabytes 400 hrs 800 hrs 1200 hrs

Storage requirements  will vary for each operating mode.
Download data frequently.  Once per day is recommended.

A laptop with card slots or card reader in your personal computer is required to read the ATA-Flash cards. There are internal and external models available on the market. External models generally daisy chain with the printer off the printer port. Internal models generally take up a expansion slot and a expansion bay in your computer. See your local computer supplier for options and service, or contact Ag Leader for recommendations.
