Ag Leader Technology is proud to
introduce a new option to meet your GPS mapping
needs. The GPS1000 is a low-cost DGPS receiver
that provides position data for operations that
do not require sub-meter position accuracy or
guidance. The GPS1000 is a valuable addition as
a second GPS receiver for yield mapping or
general data logging such as soil sample
collection, scouting, or site verification. The
GPS1000 compliments Ag Leader's sub-meter line
of GPS receivers by allowing you to add an
additional GPS receiver for less demanding
applications, at an affordable price!
The GPS1000 provides
differential correction from the WAAS (Wide Area
Augmentation System) satellite differential
system. This system was developed for the FAA
(Federal Aviation Administration) for the
tracking and guidance of aircraft. It is
currently running in test mode until it is fully
certified for aircraft use.
The GPS1000 provides 2m accuracy
when using WAAS differential and 4m accuracy
without any differential correction. The unit
contains a GPS engine that can track 12 GPS
satellites.
Not only does the GPS1000
provide quality data at an affordable price, but
it is also designed to meet the harsh
requirements of the farm environment. The unit
is weatherproof and protected against power
transients. To back these claims up, Ag Leader
provides a 2-year warranty on the unit. Ag
Leader Technology also backs the GPS1000 with
the industry's leading technical support group.
Who would want a GPS1000:
-
Anyone who would like to add
a second yield mapping system to their farm
but hasn't been able to justify the cost.
-
Users who already have a GPS
guidance system and would like a second GPS
receiver for general mapping needs.
-
Anyone using a handheld
logging device such as a Pocket PC that
would like a low cost, high quality GPS, but
doesn't require sub-meter accuracy.
Anyone wanting to start yield
monitoring and mapping but hasn't been able to
justify the cost to get started. A Yield Monitor
2000 and GPS1000 system is the lowest cost
system available to get started yield monitoring
and mapping. |
